6th April: Catch a SYF performance!

Today went to CJC to watch ELDDS perform for their 3rd time, in a SYF competition.

Together with ShuFen and Sheena. So nice very long never see them! When we reached, we had to figure out how to go in. And the scary part was, we found this door, which we were so clsoe to opening, that was directly beside the stage. Lucky never open, can you believe how much disturbance it caused to the judges and performers?!

Well, we found another door (at like, the 2nd level), but can only enter during interval. So, we waited and Ms Lim and Ms Phua came too. So, we waited plus some more waiting and not forgetting to wait but soon the performance by the previous school ended so we can enter :D

Inside, you can be shocked enough to see familiar faces of Mr Tay and Ms Kong (absolutely, huixian). And I sat right beside ms kong, haha! She was surprised to hear that Sheena got take art, until I told her she was from the previous batch then she gave the oh-no-wonder face. Then, Mr Tay spotted the 3 of us and talked to us.

The interval was hell long, because the judges went for a cup of tea. Although I kept talking, I was getting very nervous about the performance. Well not as anxious as the team itself, but my heart was thumping really quickly! Btw, one of the judges was a screen actor, dont know his name, but he starred in Moulmein High (remember?) as the vice-principal (or discipline head or wad).

Lights out. And I prayed sincerely for the team to at least put up a complete peformance. I was quite overwhelmed somehow, but of course not tearing and shouting "You're the best!" Just silently being proud.

The entire play, together with the commendable costume, meritorious make-ups, and lovely lighting, was of good standard. Oh, I can't wait for the results la! Till then, I can't wait to watch CLDDS' performance even more!

anyway, saw Jacqueline today on the bus woohoo! talked to her quite a lot, so yea...

*btw, I wondered who they asked to read the title of the name of the play each year. The other time, the person read The Hornourable Urashima Taro as The Hounourable Urashima Tora. This time another (or maybe the same!) person read Icarus (pronounced as eeee-ker-rers) as I-ker-rust. Tsk!
