81st Oscar Nominations
YAY. The long-awaited oscar academy award is coming sooooon! :) Everybody, I'm not free on 23rd Feb that's it, I'm gonna spend my time with TV.
This year's Best Actors are (from left):

Richard Jenkins, The Visitor
Sean Penn, Milk
Frank Langella, Frost/Nixon
Brad Pitt, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
Mickey Rourke, The Wrestler
Ok, I've no idea who the hell Richard Jenkins is! But I first saw Sean Penn on Ch5 in a film, I Am Sam, and after the movie, I couldn't understand why he didn't get the award as best actor for the role. Nevertheless, he once won academy best actor for Mystic River. Frank Langella... errrrr, next! Brad Pitt, yay congrats to him for his first nomination as best actor in the academy award! Mickey Rourke, the winner of this year's Golden Globe. Also don't know who he is.
Best Actress:
Meryl Streep, Doubt
Angelina Jolie, Changeling
Kate Winslet, The Reader
Anne Hathaway, Rachel Getting Married
Melissa Leo, Frozen River
Meryl Streep (my favourite here!) is the actress, ever, who has the most academy award nominations (12). Basically, she won the best actress in 1982 (right before I was even born!) as Sophie in Sophie's Choice. I couldn't believe Angelina Jolie, the sexy model, could get nominated laaaaaaa. But almost everyone says she really performed, seriously, she may just win it you know, pretty actresses always find their way in. LOL! Oh, she once won best supporting actress for Girl, Interrupted. Kate Winslet won Golden Globe this year, but for The Revolutionary Road. (The strangest thing is, she was nominated for Best Supporting Actress for The Reader in Golden Globe) Anyway, for those who still don't know, like me who only realised it this year, she played Rose in Titanic. Ok, Anne Hathaway is soooooo Pearl and Hx de favourite! Though I like her, I still think her acting lacks in depth, nvm la she still young. Wad's more, it's only her first nomination right! Melissa Leo, ermmmmm...
Best Picture:
The Reader
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
Slumdog Millionaire
Frost/Nixon
Milk
Oh yes, the nominations for best directing is also directors from these five films ok! The Reader is hmmmm a story about a guy and a girl (the actual plot is very long!) during world war 2. The Curious Case... is about a guy who ages backwards, meaning to say: become younger as the years passed by. Slumdog Millionaire, the winner of Golden Globe, is about this indian boy who won the millionaire game show, but was suspected of cheating. Frost/Nixon tells the tale of the battle between Forst & Nixon. (don't care not interested) Milk speaks the heart of a gay politician, wow.
Tsk, films nowadays are so restricitng! Just among these 5 films, only 2 are PG. And, I can only watch 3 films out of these 5, not like I'll really go and watch all of which though. But haiya, how come like that. tsk tsk tsk.
P.S./ I think the indian teenager in Slumdog Millionaire looks like Zheng Yi! LOL!
