2008: Books and TV Series
I've decided to properly conclude the entertainments I had in the Year 2008, which includes, TV series, Books etc.
5 Favourite TV Series
1. 一房半厅一水缸, Just In Singapore
A tv drama about a group of poor income families in Singapore, fighting for a Water Vat which cost $5 million dollars. Terribly hilarious tv series! Probably one of the best TV drama mediacorp ever shown on TV, though I seriously doubt they can have many nominations in star awards. but what matters most, is that I think it's funny and so do my friends! It had been such a topic in my class.2. 稀游记2, Find Me a Singaporean 2
A reality programme about Singaporeans living abroad Singapore. Had the show not been hosted by Belinda, I wouldn't even have known the name of this show. She is one celebrity that is least fake/plastic, and undertaking this tv programme has really touched me and nearly moved me to tears. All the pains etc the Singaporeans abroad experienced are beyond imagination, and as they each speak of how much they missed the families, I really felt I was a hell lucky soul.3. The Noose
A stupid comedy about some nonsensical news, 'hosted' by a group of nutcase. All right, however out-of-the-world the stories/news may be, we must applause for the scriptwriters and actors. Their eccentric accent and ridiculous plots never failed to make me laugh, and discussed about it with my friends the next day! Somtimes, even imitating them!4. Desperate Housewives 4
A tv drama which talks about 5 housewives living in Wisteria Lane, and each of them encounters different problems at home. Absolutely hilarious acts and lines, and the words used by the story-teller at the beginning and end of the episode were commendable. The way the link our lives to their stories was extremely inspiring.5. 一切完美 Perfect Cut
A tv drama mainly about plastic surgeries. each story tells it's own moral and the actors were great. the research had really brought me to understand more of these surgeries and these surgeons.5 Favourite Books
1. The Notebook
A story about a pair of lovers, who never failed to remember each other, no matter what odds they faced. Both the movie and especially the book, had affected me a hell lot, in the bad sense in fact. But anyway, the story and words the author used was fluent and realistic. I even finished it within like, let's say 3 days?! The fastest reading speed I ever had mannnnnnn.

A story about a man, who seek atonement for his own mistakes, returns to his own country, which also led him to shocking facts he never knew. Damn, I haven't watch the movie, one thing which I promised myself I would do in 2008. But anyway, the book was great, the story itself was good and the twists it contains every now and then came truly as a shock each time I read them.

A story of Harry Potter in his fourth year in Hogwarts, where he finally faced Voldy while in the Triwizard Tournament. PS/ notice what this book cover is missing! Wadeva, the book is the best in all 7 books because each round of the tournament can seriously make me have cold feet and really felt nervous for Harry Potter, even though I had already know the ending. It's like watching the Tournament myself!
4. Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets
A story about Harry Potter in his second year in Hogwarts, where he uncovers the secret that he knows Parseltongue, and the secret Hogwarts was unsure whether it exist for years. A really full-of-suspension book I've EVER read. too bad I already know the whole plot while reading, so the climax was lower, but it is still a good book.
5. 佐贺的超级阿麽
A diary and true story about this Japanese man who recalls his past when he lived with his loving ahma, who is poor yet optimistic. Not really a story, so there's no climax or wadeva so it's more like a diary. It really teaches one about how to live life happily, especially even when you're poor. Lots of interesting and funny dialogues which make you think : being rich is worse!
Yep, these are my favourites for books and tv series, I'll blog about movies and actors tmr! yipee!!
