Happy Birthday Melissa!
so, we got a cake from the clique. Breadtalk cake, layered with an extremely thick coat of chocolate, yummy! damn nice one. thanks!

24th September
nah, didn't came in my birthday suit. i received the first Birthday wish in school by Regina, where she shouted across the corridor towards the hall.
so, i got another cake with a thick coat of chocolate as the outer layer, from awfullychocolate. i've yet to eat it, but it'd be my first trying out this brand.

Anw, seriosuly, i thought i had a twin sister. haha.
whatever melissa and i got (from classmates la), are almost the same.

both of us got a bar of Toblerone from Yixin.
a bigger bar of Toblerone and a (block?) of Cadbury chocolate, just different flavours, from Pearl

the same Royce chocolate from Lishan and Liting
the same PING PONG PADDLE from jianbin

wow! oh, but i got a new hairstyle makeover by Shermin as a birthday treat.
anw, this would be the last birthday spent in NCHS and yay!!
what a chocolatey birthday. only jianbin's present isn't made of chocolate.

But anw, everything's getting so stressful that i want to escape from school. every teacher is so irritating can. esp Xuan Xuan, don't know how to shut her up one leh. Mr Goh even started off the week with some nagging and complaining, yet again. Mdm Yeo, ever complaining about our seriousness. Mr Seah always looked so traumatized, and making us panic.

hmm, life would become busier and i doubt i might even have time to blog on weekends. so this would probably be the last post until i complete my o's. unless...

Studying for goodness sake

Oh well, since everyone's talking about school's happening today, i'll join in too. erm where to start.

kk, can you see the picture above. yes, those were common test 1 2008, mid-year 2008 and prelim 2008 timetables. Basically the major exams/tests I had this year. It was a real struggle for mid-yr, as much as I could rmb, I'd began much early (with the chemistry topics). Nevertheless, my chemistry and physics suffered drastically. It was a terrifying D7(chem) & a C5 for physics. What followed was many of us in a dilemma of whether to drop to combined sc. I could even remember vividly when me, Ruiqi & Mich, talking to Mr Tien. And the next day, only Mich and I prepared the letter, while Ruiqi told us she decided to strive on. Then, after the june holidays, Yixuan, Van, Mich and I were taken aback when they told us we were encouraged not to drop. Yes, right after we've missed the whole June holiday Pure Sciences lessons. Don't you think it's horrifyingly stupid to ask us to go back to Pure?

So, I continued to remain in combined science. When I handed him the letter, Mr Goh gave me a constipated look and asked, "真的吗？" But before I could really answer, he said something like “反正不 drop 你也不会好好读。”Insulting, I thought. But after this prelims, I suddenly came to realise, perhaps he was right. Perhaps it was really my way of running away from reality and pressure. Perhaps I just want to slack. Perhaps I just didn't want to hang on to something which might just not give me an A1.

I still don't know if I'd made the prudent decision. I definitely hoped I did, well, who doesn't? And anyway, Mr Tien told Mich and I that we won't regret if we dropped. Well, I felt really relieved each time I hear the Pures had to stayback or do extra work. However, I thought at least their hard work will really pay off, but for Humans subject, my Distinctions are always wavering. There's A, B and C. There's never a confirmed result, and each time I still have to worry so much. It probably isn't worthwhile, or is it?

After looking back into the past academically, let's talk about the present. Today was devastating for some people, but whatever I expected came true. Hmm, maybe Physics not, cause I thought it would be fairly well done, but it ended up the worst script I got back today.

But why are we doing all these- fighting with your classmates and looking down at yourself for not doing well enough?
Almost everyone's blog is talking about this type of questions like why are we going through all these pressures. Clear enough, it's for the future la. As always, right? It's getting really tiring for many, not excluding me, but it's the only drive for us! Gain your social status now because, no one's going to care about you when you're left behind.

Harsh, but true. =)

ok today prelims finally ended. phew. but i'm pretty sure i'll be quite disappointed in my results on monday, especially maths! well i know how i've done right, so you all dont have to tell me anything.

ok anw, today was deciding whether to go play badminton with mich, pearl, jb and mer. decided to go lor. haha. didnt regret thou. read melissa's blog and i couldn't stop laughing!
when i arrived, (15min after they have started) they look like they're dead and had played for 15hrs. i was like are you sure we can make it till 2pm? (eventually, we played until 3pm)started playing doubles first, no points one, just play for fun. then we decided to begin counting scores.
play and play but got 5 pple, then donno how to play for the singles match. so decide here and there and somehow i got straight into the finals. and i only played once and got silver medal!! yes! easy win (but actually is lost to jb) 13-15 haha. i was so nervous towards the match point. whereas mich has to play like 3 or 4 times to get a 4th place!

then we decided to play with 4I clique. it really started out as a friendly match, but everything got really tense and scary. pearl and jb VS Isabella and Nicole17-21, we lost. isit 17? cant rmb. but i know at first the oppo team was REALLY strong, it even went like 15-4. i think isabella's and nicole's chemistry really not bad! applause.
then its me & Mer VS Joyce & Isabella. very tense this match! the most exciting match also la. it was 22-20. very fun actually. the last point me and joyce (both in front) hit very low, its like one of us is going to hit the net anytime. scary. but eventually i hit joyce(sorry!), and ya. we won.

then hx came and we played doubles. its Pearl & JB, AnLaoSun & Kaizi, Mizi(or HuiliNaya or Michiyo) & Lindan's Wife. 2 teams play 2 match each, (in all 3 matches). the grp which won 2 games wins the gold, one match = silver, and 0 match= bronze. but if all win once, then it's tie lor. so, Pearl & JB took away the Gold, and my grp the silver. think it was 14-16 or 13-15 when we played with them. haha!

and we played the singles, again. this time is three matches, at first, and i won Lin Dan's Wife. and made it to the semis. 3 winners and the best, erm, loser gets to play the semis. so its Pearl Vs Mer, JB VS me. i won JB, so did mer won pearl. and we made it to the finals! JB defeated Pearl in the Bronze-medal match and i won the finals!

kinda stupid ya! then JB said, we only took 3 hrs to complete 2 olympics, but they have to take 4 yrs!

oh yes, right. wanted to watch the recorded king kong movie today. only to realise (since the movie was dual sound!) i've accidentally recorded them speaking in chinese. so awful can. not that i dislike chinese, but please, imagine Naomi Watts says：“ 我有点儿紧张。”so decided to wait for the next telecast bah.

"Oh yes definitely. And give me extra large fries, and one more corn soup, 5 more nuggets, more fillings and veges for the burger, an apple pie and... ya, just that would be enough."

i've spent my day today clearing up my desk and tada! i've decided to bring out my postcards and put it on my blog! in fact, most of them are movie promotions. but there're some truly interesting ones!

last time, when i was sec 1, there was this Relaxo room near the canteen, where u'd go there and play games and relax! its damn fun because you get to know all kinds of friends there.

then once, we had to give out these postcards at the canteen. and few really appreciated it. some, or i'd say half of which, literally threw them into the dustbins the moment i passed it to them. yes, right in front of me. and that's probably the first time i've ever given out flyers to other pple. oh those days...
